We Are. . .
A Christian Refuge/Outreach to those who are maltreated, homeless, impoverished, orphaned, or in need of help in Honduras. In our care, people receive genuine help and the love of Christ. They hear the “good news” (Gospel) of Jesus Christ, according to the Word of God, and receive clothing, food, shelter, and other necessities of life.
Isaiah 58:6-7 (New International Version-NIV). . .“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter— when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
Matthew 25:34-40 (NIV). . .“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’"
James 2:15-16 (NIV). . ."Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, 'Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,' but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?"
A Family Ranch that provides a home for those in need of a family. To-date, over 50 children have called the ranch their home. The ranch is over 65 acres, providing agricultural education and training, along with food to share. The kids work on the ranch and receive Christian mentorship and training. They attend local community schools, but secondary and college education are a rarity, due to the economy.
Deuteronomy 6:5-7 (NIV). . ."Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."
Proverbs 22:6 (NIV) . . ."Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it."
Luke 18:16 (NIV). . ."But Jesus called the children to him and said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."
James 1:27 (NIV). . ."Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."
A Christian Retreat/Campthat shares the gospel and provides biblical teaching in a camp setting to groups of children, youth, and adults from nearby communities and Honduras' capital city, Tegucigalpa.
Psalm 23:1-3 (NIV). . ."The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake."
Mark 6:30-31 (NIV). . ."The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to him all they had done and taught. Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, 'Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.'"
Luke 5:16 (NIV). . ."But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.
A Mission Internship that hosts short-term mission teams of people who work the camps, play with kids, teach lessons, conduct Vacation Bible School activities in local schools, and help local residents via work projects.
Matthew 28: 18-20 (NIV). . ."Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'"
1 John 3:18 (NIV). . ."Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth."
